1. Course objective

The course aims to build knowledge of students on development history, structure and operations of regional HR mechanisms such as Europe, Inter-America, Africa and Arabs. Also the students can have strong understanding of regional HR documents and the interrelationship of the international and regional mechanisms. The course help student to analysis the advantages, constraints and potential to promote and protect HR especially in Asia.

2. Course content summary

1.          Overall introduction about regional HR mechanism

2.          European HR Laws and mechanism

3.          Inter-American HR Laws and mechanism

4.          African HR Laws and HR mechanism

5.          Arabean HR Laws and HR mechanism

6.          Possibility to formulate Asian HR laws and mechanism

7.          Interrelationship of internationa laws and regional laws and mechanism on HR

 

3.Criteria for Evaluation and Exam:

One paper (hand-in in Vietnamese or English)                          20 %

Class Participation and                                                                  15 %  

Group Assignment/Presentation                                                   15 %

Final exam                                                                                       50 %.

 

Mid term paper:

The paper will be two academic paper in English of around 1500-2000 words, of publishable standard (this means a critical analytical paper.  The paper topic is “............................................................”.
